Ron Trzcinski founded The Original Mattress Factory to provide a better mattress and a better mattress shopping experience for customers. He saw the lack of transparency in the mattress industry and believed that every customer deserved more. Nearly 30 years later, the mission of The Original Mattress Factory has not changed. We are still customer-first focused in all that we do. We are not here to sell, we are here to help you make an educated buying decision.

We believe in the products that we make and sell.

We don’t chase trends. We only add product features that offer true benefits. We don’t play the games that are so common in the mattress industry. We do what works. We still make mattresses the way they should be made: hand-built, two-sided mattresses made with high-quality materials and paired with real working box springs. We believe in making our mattresses in local factories to support local economies. And we believe in offering our products at factory-direct prices to provide the best value to our customers.

We are employee owners.

Thanks to our employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), The Original Mattress Factory is an employee-owned operation. From the factory to the sales floor to the delivery team, nearly everyone who works at OMF is also an owner. Because we are owners, we take pride in all that we do for the company and our customers.
